2024 Nominations Revealed by Americana Music Association

The Americana Music Association has announced the nominees for its 23rd annual Americana Honors & Awards, set to take place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on September 18, 2024. The event, which is the highlight of AMERICANAFEST, will celebrate the best in Americana music with performances from artists like SistaStrings, The War and Treaty, and more.

Some of the nominees for this year’s awards include Tyler Childers for Album of the Year with “Rustin’ In The Rain,” Brandy Clark for her self-titled album, and Sierra Ferrell for “Trail of Flowers.” The Artist of the Year category features Tyler Childers, Charley Crockett, Sierra Ferrell, Noah Kahan, and Allison Russell, while the Duo/Group of the Year category includes Black Pumas, Larkin Poe, The Milk Carton Kids, Turnpike Troubadours, and The War And Treaty.

The Emerging Act of the Year nominees include Kaitlin Butts, Wyatt Flores, Charles Wesley Godwin, The Red Clay Strays, and Jobi Riccio. The Instrumentalist of the Year category features Grace Bowers, Maddie Denton, Jamie Dick, Megan McCormick, and Joshua Rilko. The Song of the Year nominees include tracks from Tyler Childers, Brandy Clark, Sierra Ferrell, Sarah Jarosz, and Waxahatchee.

The Americana Honors & Awards have a rich history of celebrating both established artists and newcomers in the Americana music scene. The event has seen legendary performances from the likes of Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash, k.d. lang, Van Morrison, Mavis Staples, and many more.
