Fremont, California – The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) has reason to celebrate as one of its high schools has been ranked 11th in the state of California according to the U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best High Schools list.
Mission San Jose High School takes the top spot among FUSD schools, coming in at number 11 in California and 93rd in the nation. With a graduation rate of 95 percent and 85.7 percent of students considered college-ready, Mission San Jose boasts an impressive Overall Score of 99.47/100.
Following closely behind is American High School, ranked at number 39 in California and 314th in the nation. Despite a higher graduation rate of 97 percent, fewer students at American High are deemed college-ready at 65.4 percent. However, the school still maintains a strong Overall Score of 98.22/100.
Irvington High School secures the third spot among FUSD schools, ranking at number 44 in California and 337th in the nation. With a graduation rate of 95 percent and 66.7 percent of students considered college-ready, Irvington earns an Overall Score of 98.09/100.
Washington High School follows closely behind, coming in at number 202 in California and 1,462 in the nation. Despite a graduation rate of 94 percent, only 40.6 percent of students are considered college-ready, resulting in an Overall Score of 91.72/100.
Lastly, John F. Kennedy High School rounds out the FUSD rankings at 1,064 in California and 4,222 in the nation. With a graduation rate of 93 percent and 26.2 percent of students deemed college-ready, JFK earns an Overall Score of 76.09/100.
