2024 Southwest Florida Sports Awards All-Region Girls Soccer Team Announced

The Naples Daily News and The News-Press have unveiled the nominees for the 2024 All-Region Girls Soccer Team and Player of the Year for the upcoming Southwest Florida Sports Awards presented by Babcock Ranch. Sponsored by Zak’s Jewelry, this prestigious award ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 6 at Floria SouthWestern State College’s Suncoast Arena.

The event will honor outstanding athletes in 30 state-sanctioned sports, with finalists and winners of the Southwest Florida Player of the Year awards in each sport being announced. In addition, top teams, coaches, and overall athletes will be recognized, along with a Courage Award winner.

Athletes who have been nominated and RSVP will receive a complimentary ticket to the event, thanks to Babcock Ranch. Additional tickets for family, guests, and fans are available for purchase. The Southwest Florida High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.

Among the nominees for the 2024 All-Region Girls Soccer Team are standout players like Edin Abougzir from Barron Collier, Sophia Kerns from North Fort Myers, and Ava Majury from Naples. The Player of the Year award, sponsored by Zak’s Jewelry, will be a highly anticipated honor for these talented athletes.
