Deloitte Promotes 32 New Partners in the Middle East
In a significant move reflecting its strong growth in the region, global accounting and consulting giant Deloitte has announced the promotion of 32 company members to partner across its offices in the Middle East. This marks one of the largest new partner intakes ever for the firm, with the addition of these new partners coming on the heels of 23 lateral partner hires in the past eleven months, bringing the total number of partner appointments to 55.
Mutasem Dajani, the CEO of Deloitte in the Middle East, expressed excitement about the new additions to the partner ranks, stating that they will help the firm meet the growing demand from clients in key areas such as strategy, technology, cyber, artificial intelligence, human capital, hospitality, and retail. “As the Middle East undergoes rapid transformation across various sectors, our new partners will enable us to meet the increasing market demand. With their expertise, our new generation of leaders will support our clients in critical ways to address their needs,” Dajani said.
Rana Ghandour Salhab, People and Purpose Partner of Deloitte in the Middle East, emphasized the diversity of the newly promoted partner cohort, with over 31% of the new partners being women. Salhab highlighted the firm’s commitment to setting concrete diversity targets and the increasing representation of women in leadership roles in the Middle East. She also mentioned Deloitte’s range of initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion across all ranks, including leadership tiers, with a focus on flexible work programs, learning and development opportunities, mentoring, allyship, and sponsorship programs tailored for women at different stages of their lives and careers.
Established in the Middle East in 1926, Deloitte now boasts more than 7,000 partners and staff in the region, operating from 23 offices in 15 countries. With a global headcount exceeding 450,000 staff, Deloitte stands as the largest of the Big Four firms worldwide.
The promotion of 32 new partners in the Middle East underscores Deloitte’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering diversity, and meeting the evolving needs of clients in a rapidly changing business landscape. As the firm continues to expand its presence and capabilities in the region, the new partners are poised to play a crucial role in driving growth, innovation, and excellence in service delivery.
