Dubai to Host 7th Emirates Family Medicine Society Congress 2024

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Dubai is set to host the 7th Emirates Family Medicine Society Congress 2024. The event, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 22 to 24, is considered the premier annual gathering for family medicine within the GCC and the broader Middle East region.

This year’s congress will focus on key topics such as artificial intelligence in family medicine, metaverse in family medicine, and primary care centers. Notable attendees include leaders from the Dubai Health Authority, the Emirates Genetic Diseases Association, physicians and officials from the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Middle East, as well as international speakers from the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Organized by the Emirates Family Medicine Society under the Emirates Medical Association, in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority, the congress aims to shed light on global advancements in family medicine and the latest technologies in the field. With a focus on artificial intelligence and metaverse in healthcare, the event aligns with the UAE’s direction towards AI and digital medical services.

Dr. Wadeia Mohammed, President of the Emirates Family Medicine Society, expressed excitement about hosting the congress, bringing together experts to exchange insights and best practices in family medicine. Dr. Maryam Matar, Founder and Chairperson of the UAE Genetic Diseases Association, emphasized the importance of family medicine in providing comprehensive healthcare.

The conference will also address the role of artificial intelligence and metaverse in enhancing healthcare services, with a focus on improving patient experiences and achieving the best therapeutic outcomes. With a strong emphasis on healthcare sustainability and integrated care, the congress aims to offer essential recommendations applicable on a global scale.
