Apple Watch Series 9 vs. Apple Watch SE 2: Which One Should You Buy?

Apple has recently released two new models of their popular smartwatches, the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch SE 2. Both devices offer a range of features and improvements, but which one is right for you? Let’s take a closer look at the differences between the two models to help you make an informed decision.

In terms of design, the Apple Watch Series 9 is available in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, while the Apple Watch SE 2 sticks to the previous sizes of 40mm and 44mm. The Series 9 is available in aluminum and stainless steel, offering more color options compared to the SE, which is only available in aluminum.

When it comes to display, the Series 9 features an always-on Retina LTPO OLED display with a brightness of up to 2,000 nits, while the SE has a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits. The Series 9 also has a higher resolution and a larger case size, providing a slightly better display experience.

Internally, the Series 9 boasts a newer S9 chip with 64GB of storage, compared to the S8 chip and 32GB of storage on the SE. The Series 9 also introduces new features like the Double Tap gesture and second-gen Ultra Wideband chip for Precision Finding.

In terms of battery life, both models offer up to 18 hours of use between charges, but the Series 9 has fast-charging capabilities, which the SE lacks.

When it comes to health and fitness features, the Series 9 includes additional sensors like blood oxygen and ECG sensors, as well as a temperature sensor. Both models offer similar activity tracking and heart rate monitoring features.

In terms of price and availability, the Series 9 starts at $399 for the GPS version and $429 for the GPS + Cellular version, while the SE starts at $249 for the GPS version and $279 for the GPS + Cellular version.

Ultimately, if budget is your top priority, the Apple Watch SE is a great option. However, if you want the best Apple Watch experience with all the latest features and improvements, the Apple Watch Series 9 is the way to go. Consider your needs and preferences to determine which model is right for you.
