Boris Johnson urges closer collaboration between UAE and UK in green AI and technology

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed the Green Hydrogen Summit at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi, emphasizing the need for closer collaboration between the UAE and the UK in green technology. Johnson humorously noted the incessant rain in the UAE, joking that he brought the London weather with him.

During his speech, Johnson highlighted the importance of working together on projects such as battery technology, artificial intelligence, and nuclear reactors. He praised the UAE for its clean energy initiatives, including the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant in Abu Dhabi.

The former Prime Minister pointed out the potential for further cooperation, especially in developing green technologies. He mentioned the 3 gigawatts Dogger Bank South (DBS) project, one of the world’s largest planned offshore wind farms, as a significant joint venture between the UAE and the UK.
