In the world of Boston sports radio, 98.5 The Sports Hub has once again emerged victorious in the latest winter radio ratings battle, leaving its rival WEEI in the dust. The Sports Hub dominated the competition in the Nielsen Audio ratings period from January 4 to March 27, securing the top spot overall and across its daytime programs.

With an impressive 15.6 share in the winter period, The Sports Hub outshined WEEI, which lagged behind in 10th place with a 3.6 share. This continued the trend from the previous ratings period in the fall, where The Sports Hub held a 16.3 share while WEEI settled for seventh place with a 4.4 share.

Breaking down the ratings by day parts, The Sports Hub’s “Toucher and Hardy” claimed the top spot in the morning drive, “Zolak and Bertrand” dominated the midday slot, and “Felger and Massarotti” remained the most listened-to program in the afternoon drive. Even in the evening slot, The Sports Hub maintained its strong performance, finishing second with a lineup that included Bruins and Celtics broadcasts.

On the other hand, WEEI struggled to keep up with The Sports Hub’s success, with programs like “Jones and Mego” and “The Rich Keefe Show” falling behind in the ratings. The stark difference in performance between the two stations highlights The Sports Hub’s continued dominance in the Boston sports radio landscape.
