Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis has announced its exciting lineup for the 2024-2025 season, featuring a diverse range of performers from various genres. The season will kick off with the gospel-blues duo, the War and Treaty, followed by folk-inspired singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega and saxophonist Joshua Redman.
Peter Palermo, the executive director for the Sheldon, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, highlighting the focus on American roots music. Other notable performers include jazz trumpeter Bria Skonberg, Portuguese singer Carminho, and fiddler Mark O’Connor. The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will also be performing a full series of concerts at the venue.
Palermo emphasized the importance of showcasing both legendary figures and fresh talent, with artists like Martin Sexton and Peter Martin adding to the eclectic lineup. The season will also feature a Jazz at Lincoln Center-curated evening, highlighting young performers in the jazz genre.
The Sheldon Concert Hall has organized the shows into subscription series, including Sheldon Folk & Roots, Sheldon Rhythm & Jazz, SLSO: Live at the Sheldon, Whitaker World Music Concert Series, Sheldon Coffee Concerts, and Special Concerts. Concertgoers can purchase subscriptions or individual tickets for the shows.
