President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan rolled out the red carpet for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman during his state visit to the UAE. The grand official reception ceremony at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi was a sight to behold, with a procession of riders on Arabian horses and camels welcoming the Sultan’s motorcade.
Joined by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Sultan inspected the guard of honour and enjoyed performances of both the UAE and Omani national anthems. The highlight of the ceremony was a spectacular 21-gun artillery salute in honor of the Sultan’s visit, followed by a mesmerizing flypast by the UAE Air Force aerobatics team, Al Fursan, painting the sky in the colors of the Omani flag.
The streets of Abu Dhabi were adorned with Omani flags and welcoming messages, setting the stage for a warm reception. Emirati children enthusiastically waved flags of both nations and chanted phrases to greet the Sultan of Oman.
The event was attended by a distinguished guest list, including Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, among others.
Accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq’s visit signifies the strong bond between the UAE and Oman. The visit is expected to further strengthen the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.
