UNITY Trust Bank is making moves to strengthen its presence in Scotland with the promotion of Scott Hutchinson to Deputy Regional Director and the appointment of two new Relationship Managers to its team.

Hutchinson, who initially joined Unity in 2019 as a Relationship Manager, will now be supporting Regional Director John Copping in expanding the bank’s impact-driven lending and transaction services across Scotland. His focus will be on amplifying Unity’s presence in the region and building strong relationships with customers in various sectors.

Joining Hutchinson in the Scotland team are Michelle Wilson, with over two decades of experience in commercial banking, and Jordan Hady, who brings more than 13 years of experience from HSBC. Together, they will work alongside Relationship Manager Mark Smith to support the growth of Unity’s North & Scotland portfolio.

Hutchinson expressed his excitement about the new appointments, stating, “I have every confidence that both Jordan and Michelle will be a real asset to the team.” Wilson shared her enthusiasm for working with a bank that makes a positive impact, while Hady emphasized the importance of Unity’s values aligning with his own.

Mark Smith, another Relationship Manager at Unity Trust Bank, highlighted the continued investment in the team to deliver outstanding service to the expanding regional customer base. Unity Trust Bank, founded by the trade union movement in 1984, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and reported record lending in 2023, exceeding £1 billion for the first time.

With a commitment to creating a better society for all, Unity Trust Bank is poised for further growth and impact in Scotland with its strengthened team and focus on supporting local communities.
