Triton High School Girls Tennis Team Dominates Competition
In a quiet but impressive fashion, the Triton High School girls tennis team is making waves this season. With a flawless 6-0 record in dual matches, the Lady Trojans are proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference.
After a recent 5-0 victory over North Judson, Triton is now sitting comfortably at the top of the conference with a perfect 4-0 record. The team’s dominance is evident as they are set to be the heavy favorites in the upcoming HNAC tournament on May 8-9.
Despite facing tough competition at the Plymouth Invitational, where they placed third behind larger schools, Triton has shown resilience and determination throughout the season. Head coach Emily Nifong attributes the team’s success to their hard work and dedication.
One of Triton’s strengths lies in their all-senior singles lineup, with players like Danica Kuntz, Jenna Bules, and Cheyenne Hawley leading the charge. The team’s doubles tandems, comprised of juniors and sophomores, have also shown significant improvement and teamwork on the court.
Looking ahead, the Lady Trojans will face more challenges at the Wabash Invitational and in upcoming dual matches. With their impressive performance so far, Triton is poised to continue their winning streak and make a strong statement in the conference.
