Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi issued a stern warning to Israel during his three-day visit to Pakistan, stating that any attack on Iranian territory would result in a radical shift in dynamics, potentially leading to the downfall of the “Zionist regime.”
Speaking at Lahore University, Raisi emphasized the consequences of any aggression from Israel, stating, “If the Zionist regime once again makes a mistake and attacks the sacred land of Iran, the situation will be different, and it is not clear whether anything will remain of this regime.”
Raisi highlighted Iran’s retaliatory strike on Israel on April 13, in response to an attack on the Iranian consulate on April 1. He praised the Iranian nation for punishing the Zionist regime and reiterated Iran’s commitment to defending Palestine and the resistance against oppression.
The Iranian president also criticized the West for its support of Israel’s actions in Gaza, accusing the US and Western nations of being the biggest violators of human rights. He called for the liberation of Quds and Palestine, emphasizing the importance of supporting the Palestinian cause.
In an effort to strengthen ties between Iran and Pakistan, Raisi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif signed eight agreements in Islamabad, including the establishment of a joint special economic zone. Both leaders also agreed to collaborate on counterterrorism efforts and enhance bilateral trade to $10 billion within the next few years.
Raisi’s visit to Pakistan marks a significant step towards regional cooperation and solidarity in the face of external threats, underscoring the importance of unity in the fight against oppression and injustice.
