The peaceful waterfront area of White Rock, B.C., has been rocked by a series of violent stabbings, leaving residents and authorities on edge. The latest incident occurred on Tuesday night, resulting in the tragic death of 27-year-old Kulwinder Sohi, a plumber from Surrey.

According to White Rock RCMP, Sohi was found with stab wounds in the 15400 block of Marine Drive and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Despite a swift response from officers, the suspect remains at large. This fatal attack comes just two days after another man, Jatinder Singh, was stabbed while sitting on a bench near the pier.

Gagan Singh, a friend of Sohi, described him as a talented and easygoing individual, expressing shock and disbelief over his untimely death. The community is reeling from these senseless acts of violence, with Mayor Megan Knight emphasizing the need to bring the perpetrator to justice.

In response to these alarming incidents, White Rock RCMP has announced an increased police presence along the waterfront through an “enhanced policing initiative.” The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is also involved in the case, urging anyone with relevant information or footage to come forward.

As the investigation unfolds, residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities. The safety and well-being of the community are paramount as they grapple with the aftermath of these tragic events.
