The K-pop sensation BTS has announced that its members are embarking on solo projects, but fans need not worry as the group is not disbanding. Following the release of their anthology album “Proof” in celebration of their ninth anniversary, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook revealed their plans to take a break from group activities to focus on personal and solo endeavors.
While the group takes this much-needed break, they have already given fans a taste of their individual talents through solo projects. RM, the leader of the group and a member of BTS’ rap line, released his self-titled mixtape in 2015, followed by “Mono” in 2018. Suga and J-Hope also dropped their own mixtapes, showcasing their unique styles and talents.
Each member of BTS has been working on their solo careers, with Jin contributing to the soundtrack of a South Korean television drama series and releasing solo tracks like “Yours” and “Super Tuna.” Jimin collaborated with Ha Sung Woon on “With You” and released the Christmas song “Christmas Love.” Jung Kook released solo tracks like “My You” and “Stay Alive,” while V explored the pop soul R&B genre with tracks like “Snow Flower” and “Christmas Tree.”
The members of BTS have been busy with their solo projects, and fans can expect more exciting music from each member in the future. Despite their individual pursuits, the bond between the members remains strong, and ARMY can look forward to more music and performances from BTS in the future.
