The IMG Future Stars competition for under 12s has reached the quarter-final stage, with only 16 young tennis players left in the running for the title. The competition, held at the Tatoi Club in Athens, has seen intense matches and valuable workshops aimed at preparing these future champions for professional life.

One of the favourites, China’s Li Yanrou, secured a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory over Austria’s Luca Sageder to advance to the quarter-finals. He will face off against France’s Arthur Poussin, who recently made his debut for the French national team. The winner of this match will then meet the victor of the Waelti Jonas (Switzerland) vs. Camelot Carnello (USA) clash in what is expected to be a closely contested semi-final.

On the girls’ side, Estonian Elizaveta Anikina, a recent winner of the Open des 10-12 and the Auray Super 12, triumphed over the French No 1 in her category, Neirouz Godhbane, to secure her spot in the quarter-finals where she will face American Li Christina.

In addition to the thrilling matches, players, coaches, and parents have also participated in workshops conducted by tennis experts such as coach Patrick Mouratoglou, analyst Mike James, and specialists from the ATP and WTA. The event, organized by IMG sports events company, has provided a platform for these young talents to showcase their skills and learn from the best in the industry.
