CBS Sports Launches 24-Hour Champions League Streaming Channel
CBS Sports has announced the launch of Champions League, a new 24-hour streaming channel dedicated to showcasing nonstop goals and highlights from the prestigious UEFA Champions League soccer club games in Europe. The channel will feature current season matches as well as historic game recaps, providing fans with an immersive viewing experience.
The Champions League channel will be available for free on Pluto TV and connected TV sets through the CBS Sports app. Additionally, the channel will soon be accessible via the CBS Sports website and Paramount+. This move comes as Paramount+ continues to broadcast live UEFA Champions League matches and offer on-demand game replays to viewers.
Jeffrey Gerttula, executive vice president of digital at CBS Sports, News, Stations, and Entertainment, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “UEFA Champions League represents the absolute best soccer in the world, and this new channel delivers fans an always-on venue to relive the special moments, sensational goals, iconic players, and storied clubs that define this one-of-a-kind tournament.”
CBS Sports acquired the rights to UEFA Champions League games in 2020, following Turner Sports’ decision to end its rights deal. Last year, the network introduced the CBS Sports Golazo Network, a free soccer streaming network. The launch of the Champions League channel further solidifies CBS Sports’ commitment to providing comprehensive coverage of European soccer.
As the 2024 UEFA Champions League final approaches on June 1 at Wembley Stadium in London, the introduction of the Champions League FAST channel offers fans year-round programming from one of the most prestigious club soccer tournaments in the world. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting content on the new streaming channel.
