Indian Diaspora, Indian origin business leaders, and international experts from diverse backgrounds gathered at Stanford University in the USA to attend the “Indiaspora AI Summit” and hail Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in making India a global hub for Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The summit saw CEOs, managing directors, academicians, health and AI experts from IT companies, along with Ambassador Eric Garcetti and Member of Parliament Satnam Singh Sandhu, discussing PM Modi’s vision for utilizing AI to shape India’s future. They praised PM Modi for understanding the transformative power of AI and promoting its applications in sectors like agriculture, healthcare, and education for social development and inclusive growth.

During the summit, a research paper authored by Dr. Martin Dahl and co-authored by Bob Sidhu and Tejas Dhami was presented, criticizing India’s agenda-based rating by Western agencies and highlighting bias against the country in global business indexes. The paper focused on the methodology used in calculating the Ease of Doing Business Index by the World Bank.

Experts at the summit emphasized the need for transparency and impartiality in global business rankings, pointing out discrepancies in India’s rankings compared to other countries with lesser infrastructure and policies. They highlighted the reforms undertaken by India to improve the ease of doing business, including reducing registration fees, strengthening measures for protecting minority investors, and simplifying cross-border trade processes.

Overall, the summit showcased the progress made by India under PM Modi’s leadership, with participants lauding his efforts in promoting technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, leading to India’s transformation into a global hub for AI and a prominent player in the global economy.
