Samsung TV Plus, the free FAST platform operated by the leading smart-TV maker, is making waves in the sports world with its latest programming additions. At a recent NewFronts presentation in New York, the company announced that it would be live streaming games of the American Hockey League team, the Ontario Reign, who are affiliated with the NHL’s LA Kings.
In addition to this exciting sports offering, Samsung TV Plus also revealed new channels dedicated to Major League Baseball, the PGA Tour, MMA’s ONE Championship, and Formula 1. Michael Scott, VP of Ad Sales and Operations at Samsung Ads, touted Samsung TV Plus as “America’s first choice for television,” highlighting the platform’s accessibility and diverse content options.
But the announcements didn’t stop there. Samsung TV Plus also unveiled partnerships with Warner Music to enhance its music programming and revealed plans to integrate ads onto Samsung News, a mobile offering pre-loaded on Galaxy devices.
Gaming is another area of focus for Samsung, with plans to release two new games later this year. “Rivals Arena” is a cinematic card game with integrated advertiser QR codes, while “The Six” is a trivia game designed for Samsung connected devices.
With these new additions and partnerships, Samsung TV Plus is solidifying its position as a top streaming platform, offering a wide range of content to engage viewers across sports, news, music, and gaming.
