GoDaddy’s Empower Program Expands to Support Underserved Entrepreneurs Across the U.S.
NORTHAMPTON, MA / ACCESSWIRE / April 30, 2024 / GoDaddy, a trusted growth partner to millions of entrepreneurs globally, is expanding its Empower by GoDaddy program to support entrepreneurs in underserved communities across the United States. The program, launched in 2017, aims to make opportunity more inclusive for all entrepreneurs by providing education, mentoring, and networking opportunities.
In a recent evaluation of the program, GoDaddy identified areas for improvement and opportunities for growth to better serve more entrepreneurs. As a result, the company has partnered with 12 organizations, including five new partners, to offer Empower by GoDaddy programming in 2024. The goal is to increase participants’ digital knowledge and help them build the confidence and skills required to succeed in today’s business landscape.
The new partners include organizations such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving the Pacific Southwest, Business Impact Northwest (BINW), Catapult Greater Pittsburgh, and the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC). These organizations will work with GoDaddy to provide coaching, classes, access to capital, and other resources to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses online and in-person.
In 2023, GoDaddy provided more than $1 million in funding to community partners through the Empower program, serving nearly 2,900 entrepreneurs through workshops and mentorship sessions. The company is committed to advancing its 2024 programming with updated curriculum that reflects the evolving needs of customers and trends in online sales, marketing, and generative artificial intelligence.
