Prabhas-starrer Salaar Part 1 Ceasefire, directed by Prashanth Neel, has left fans in shock with its low television ratings. The action entertainer, which was a massive hit in Telugu cinema last year, earned only 6.52 TVR for its world television premiere, much lower than expected for a film of this scale.
Fans of Rebel Star Prabhas were eagerly awaiting the television premiere of Salaar, hoping it would set a new record for ratings. However, the disappointing numbers have left them perplexed and disappointed. Some speculate that the violent content of the film may have deterred viewers, especially families with children, from tuning in.
Interestingly, Salaar is not the only film to experience this phenomenon. Chiranjeevi-starrer Waltair Veeraya also saw a similar trend, performing well at the box office but falling short in its television premiere ratings with a TVR of 5.14.
Despite the setback, director Prashanth Neel is already working on Salaar Part 2, titled Shouryanga Parvam. Rumors suggest that Prabhas is on board for the sequel and shooting is set to commence in June. Neel is currently finalizing the dates for the rest of the cast, promising fans another thrilling installment in the Salaar franchise.
