Congressman Dan Meuser and Williamsport small business owners Vince and Selina Pulizzi made headlines as they attended the House Small Business Committee’s “Small Business Showcase” event at the U.S. Capitol Building. The event, which took place on May 1, aimed to give entrepreneurs a platform to discuss political issues affecting their businesses with Congress members.
Labels by Pulizzi, a family-owned custom printing company in Williamsport, was one of the fifteen businesses selected to participate in the showcase. Established in 1968, Labels by Pulizzi has been a staple in Lycoming County, employing 32 individuals and providing clients with over a billion custom labels.
The event coincided with National Small Business Week, which celebrates the contributions of small businesses to the American economy. Congressman Meuser emphasized the importance of supporting small businesses, stating that they are the foundation of local economies.
As the Chairman of the Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access, Congressman Meuser highlighted the need for pro-growth initiatives to benefit entrepreneurs. He also expressed concerns about the challenges faced by small businesses under the current administration.
The Pulizzis, as third-generation owners of Labels by Pulizzi, emphasized the importance of working together with leaders to bring about positive change for small businesses. They thanked Congressman Meuser for his efforts in supporting small businesses and helping them thrive.
National Small Business Week, sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration for the past 60 years, recognizes the vital role of entrepreneurs and small business owners in driving the economy forward.
