Reese Witherspoon, Amazon MGM Studios to Develop ‘Legally Blonde’ Spinoff Series
Reese Witherspoon and her production company, Hello Sunshine, are teaming up with Amazon MGM Studios to develop a spinoff series based on the popular film “Legally Blonde,” Deadline reports. The original movie, released in 2001, followed sorority queen Elle Woods, played by Witherspoon, as she navigates law school after being dumped by her boyfriend. The film was a hit and spawned a sequel in 2003, as well as a direct-to-video spinoff in 2009. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of “Legally Blonde 3,” which is co-written by Mindy Kaling and has been in development for several years.

Villeneuve is also confirmed to be working on a third “Dune” film with Legendary.
Meanwhile, “Don’t Worry Darling” director Olivia Wilde is teaming up with Margot Robbie’s production company for a feature adaptation of the 1990s comic book character “Avengelyne,” created by Rob Liefeld.
