Answers in Genesis, a prominent Christian apologetics organization, has recently unveiled a new Christian school curriculum called the “Twelve Stones Curriculum.” This program is designed for Bible classes in Christian schools and aims to provide students with apologetic and worldview resources.

The name “Twelve Stones” is inspired by Joshua 4, where God instructs the Israelites to build a memorial of 12 stones to commemorate their miraculous crossing of the Jordan River. Christa Ebert, manager of Curriculum Production & Design at Answers in Genesis, emphasized the importance of grounding a child’s education in the truth of God’s Word, starting from Genesis chapters one to 11 and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The curriculum is currently available for kindergarten to second grade, with plans to expand to grades three through 12 in the future. Ebert highlighted the integration of critical thinking skills, engaging activities, and flexible strategies in an easy-to-use format for teachers and students. The curriculum also includes additional instructional illustrations, printables, manipulatives, and digital resources to enhance student engagement.

Ebert expressed hope that the Twelve Stones Curriculum would help students develop a solid biblical foundation and worldview, enabling them to believe, defend, and proclaim God’s Word. This initiative comes at a time when a study from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University revealed that many children aged 8-12 are rejecting fundamental Christian beliefs. Answers in Genesis aims to address this trend by equipping students with the tools to understand and defend their faith.
