Tata Elxsi, a global leader in technology and design services, has joined forces with Arm, the global semiconductor design and software platform company, to provide cutting-edge solutions on the latest Arm processors. This collaboration aims to assist Automotive OEMs and Tier-1s in expediting their transition to software-defined vehicles (SDVs).

The automotive industry is witnessing a shift from traditional distributed architectures to SDVs, incorporating high-performance computing (HPC). Tata Elxsi is introducing its extensive portfolio of SDV solutions through Tata Elxsi AVENIR, a SOAFEE-based software suite that facilitates the development, integration, testing, and deployment of applications entirely on the cloud for OEMs and suppliers.

The collaboration with Arm will make Tata Elxsi AVENIR available on the latest Arm Automotive Enhanced (AE) technology, catering to the high-performance requirements of next-generation vehicles. This software suite includes a cloud-native development and validation environment, a Connected Digital Twin Framework, and a pre-integrated subscription management software, enabling end users to access automotive features on demand.

Suraj Gajendra, vice president of products and solutions at Arm, emphasized the significance of efficient computing within the safety constraints of vehicles. Shaju S, Vice President & Head of Transportation Business at Tata Elxsi, highlighted the importance of collaboration in overcoming the complexities of the automotive industry.

The integration of Tata Elxsi AVENIR on Arm processors will offer automakers a proven SDV framework and modular software components that seamlessly work across Arm-based HPC architectures and chips. This integration is expected to accelerate the development and validation processes for SDVs, reducing time-to-market and development risks significantly.
