Five Male Tennis Players Recognized for Academic Excellence in MAC

The Mid-American Conference (MAC) has announced the 2024 Men’s Tennis Academic All-MAC Team, recognizing 22 student-athletes for their outstanding achievements both on the court and in the classroom. Ball State and Buffalo led the way with five student-athletes each making the team, followed by Northern Illinois and Western Michigan with four honorees each.

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC honor, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA and participate in at least 50 percent of their sport’s contests. Among the standout players named to the team are Eli Herran from Ball State with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Information Communication Science, and Mikael Vollbach from Northern Illinois with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Business Administration.

Other notable honorees include Finn Macnamara from Buffalo with a 3.968 GPA in Biomedical Engineering, and Ferdinand Schlueter from Western Michigan with a 3.97 GPA in Integrated Supply Management. These student-athletes have demonstrated exceptional dedication to both their academic and athletic pursuits.

The Academic All-MAC Team serves as a testament to the hard work and commitment of these student-athletes, showcasing their ability to excel in both the classroom and on the tennis court. Congratulations to all the honorees for their well-deserved recognition.
