Colorado Springs, Colo. has been named the 3rd best city to live in the nation according to the yearly U.S. News and World Report rankings. The city excelled in various indexes including Desirability, Job Market, and Quality of Life.

Erika Giovanetti, a reporter for U.S. News and World Report, highlighted Colorado Springs’ top ranking in Desirability, stating that something about the city draws people in and makes it a desirable place to live. The Job Market Index, which considers factors like unemployment rate and average salary, also contributed to the city’s high ranking.

However, Colorado Springs fell short in the Value Index, ranking #58 in the nation. This index takes into account housing affordability and price parity, areas where the city can improve according to Johnna Reeder Klaeymeyer, CEO and President of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Klaeymeyer expressed her satisfaction with the city’s overall ranking, noting that Colorado Springs has moved up from number nine last year to number three this year. She emphasized the need for affordable housing, childcare, and quality education in the city to continue its growth and success.

Despite the areas for improvement, Klaeymeyer sees the ranking as a reason to celebrate for Colorado Springs, acknowledging the city’s progress and potential for further development.
