Legendary Indian cricketer Kris Srikkanth had some harsh words for the Royal Challengers Bangalore team after their exit from the IPL 2024 Eliminator at the hands of Rajasthan Royals. RCB, led by Faf Du Plessis, suffered a four-wicket defeat at the hands of RR, bringing an end to their impressive campaign.

Srikkanth criticized RCB for celebrating too much after their victory over Chennai Super Kings and advised them to stay humble in their success. He emphasized the importance of keeping quiet and focusing on the game rather than boasting about their achievements.

The former Indian batter said, “In life when you are doing well keep your mouth shut and keep going, when you make noise out of something you are doing you cannot do that work.” He pointed out that RCB’s excessive celebration and self-congratulatory behavior may have led to their downfall in the crucial match against Rajasthan Royals.

RCB captain Faf Du Plessis also reflected on the defeat, acknowledging that they fell short with the bat and failed to capitalize on the conditions. Despite the loss, Du Plessis praised his team for their fighting spirit and resilience throughout the season.

Srikkanth’s blunt advice serves as a reminder for teams to stay grounded and focused on their performance rather than getting carried away by their success. As the IPL 2024 season comes to a close, it is a lesson that RCB and other teams can learn from for future tournaments.
