Milford author Andrew Scott is making waves with his new children’s book, “Could You Exercise With Me Please?” The book aims to educate children about the importance of health and fitness in a fun and interactive way.

Scott, a former life skills teacher at Milford High School, was inspired to write the book after noticing a lack of physical activity among today’s youth. “I see a lot of problems with the youth with athletics, so that was the encouragement for the book,” he said.

In addition to teaching children about exercise, the book also includes lessons on primary colors, counting to 10, and overall health tips. Scott hopes that the interactive elements in the book will get young readers excited about reading.

Born and raised in Harrington, Scott is a Lake Forest graduate and former athlete. After a tragic accident during his college years, he shifted his focus to writing and has found a new passion in creating books that inspire and educate.

With plans to publish more books in the future, Scott is dedicated to providing his readers with valuable knowledge and inspiration. “I just want them to get something out of it and that is why I am doing this,” he said.

“Could You Exercise With Me Please?” is now available for purchase on Barnes and Noble, and Scott is already working on his next book, “Build Your Confidence, Be a Better You,” aimed at helping teenagers navigate through life.
