Residents and business owners in Plymouth, Massachusetts, are up in arms over a gang of middle school kids wreaking havoc on bikes in the downtown area. Rusty Romboldi, who owns a restaurant on Plymouth harbor, expressed his frustration with the situation, citing foul language and disruptive behavior that is impacting his business.
According to Romboldi, the group of kids on bikes has been causing chaos by riding up and down the streets, performing dangerous stunts, and even getting in the way of traffic. Other residents, like Susan Reno and Aubrey Davies, have also witnessed the reckless behavior of the young bikers and fear that an accident is imminent.
Plymouth Police Chief Dana Flynn confirmed that officers have spoken to the kids and their parents, but the mischief continues. In response, the police are now cracking down on the situation by issuing $20 fines to parents of the unruly bikers. If the fines do not deter the behavior, the police have the authority to confiscate the bikes.
Residents are supportive of the police action, with many agreeing that parents should be held accountable for their children’s actions. As the situation unfolds, Plymouth residents are hopeful that these measures will put an end to the disruptive behavior and restore peace to their community.
