Hollywood actor Nick Pasqual was arrested in Texas while attempting to flee the US into Mexico after allegedly stabbing his estranged girlfriend, award-winning makeup artist Allie Shehorn, over 20 times. The brutal attack took place in Shehorn’s Sunland, Calif. home, leaving her with multiple slashes to her neck, cuts to her arms, and abdomen.
Shehorn, known for her work on “Rebel Moon” and “Mean Girls,” was discovered by her surrogate mother in a bloody scene that she described as “not a pretty sight.” Pasqual, 34, was charged with attempted murder, residential burglary, and injuring a spouse in connection to the attack.
Shehorn had filed a restraining order against Pasqual just days before the incident, accusing him of multiple violent attacks, including rape and choking. After the attack, Pasqual fled the scene, but was later apprehended at the US-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca.
Shehorn was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and underwent multiple surgeries. She is now making positive steps towards recovery, as seen in a photo shared by makeup artist Jed Dornoff on a GoFundMe page set up to cover her medical expenses.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence, with Los Angeles County District Attorney Gascón vowing to hold the perpetrator accountable for his actions. Shehorn, a talented artist with a successful career in the film industry, has received an outpouring of support, with the fundraising page surpassing $90,000 of its $100,000 goal.
