David Beckham and Mark Wahlberg Reach Settlement in F45 Lawsuit – Hollywood Life

Reading Time: < 1 minute

David Beckham and Mark Wahlberg have settled their business dispute, bringing an end to a legal battle that has been making headlines. Beckham’s firm, DB Ventures Ltd, confirmed that the lawsuit against the Mark Wahlberg Investment Group and the founders of F45 has been resolved.

In a press release, Tom Dowd, CEO of F45 Training, expressed mutual support between the two parties, stating, “For a long time, F45 has been – and continues to be – a supporter of Beckham, as he has been for our brand, and are pleased to have reached a mutual business decision to resolve the matter.” The statement also highlighted the growth of their global franchisees, showcasing strong year-over-year same store sales growth.

The legal dispute began when Beckham’s company filed a lawsuit against Wahlberg’s company, F45 Training, for $10 million. DB Ventures Ltd claimed that F45 Training had deceived Beckham into signing on with them and failed to pay the promised amount. However, Wahlberg and his co-defendants denied the allegations of fraudulent conduct and requested the lawsuit to be dismissed.

Beckham had initially agreed to be the global ambassador for F45 in 2020, leading to a business partnership with Wahlberg. Despite living near each other in Los Angeles and developing a friendship, the legal battle strained their professional relationship. As of now, neither Beckham nor Wahlberg has publicly addressed the matter, leaving the settlement as the final chapter in this high-profile dispute.
