Prince William Provides Health Update on Kate Middleton’s Cancer Treatment

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Prince William shared an update on Kate Middleton’s health this week, nearly three months after she announced her cancer diagnosis. While meeting with World War II veterans in Portsmouth, England, William reassured one veteran that Kate was “getting better” and expressed how she would have loved to be there with him.

Kate, who has been undergoing chemotherapy for an undisclosed type of cancer, has been out of the public eye since her diagnosis. The palace has stated that she will only return to official duties once cleared by her medical team.

In a show of support, William took time off from public duties after Kate’s diagnosis was announced but has since resumed his royal responsibilities. He recently stepped in for his father, King Charles III, who was also diagnosed with cancer this year.

During the 80th anniversary of D-Day, William represented his father at an international ceremony at Omaha Beach, as Charles was unable to attend due to health reasons. The palace emphasized the need to prioritize Charles’ recovery and carefully manage his public appearances.

As Charles continues his treatment, he has been approved to gradually resume some public duties. The palace has not disclosed the specific type of cancer he has or the details of his treatment.

Despite their health challenges, the royal family remains united in their commitment to serving the public. Charles, Camilla, William, and Kate recently met with veterans in Portsmouth, showing their ongoing support for the armed forces.
