Riverside’s senior No. 1 Ricky Hota and partner Aarush Rajanala dominated the Class 5 doubles finals, securing a 6-0, 6-0 win against their opponents. Hota expressed his joy at playing doubles after focusing on singles matches, highlighting the electric atmosphere on the court.
In the girls’ doubles finals, Riverside’s Maddie Tran and Mariana Tan Li faced a tough challenge but managed to secure a 6-4, 7-5 victory against their opponents. Tran admitted to feeling scared before the match but credited their ability to dig deep and secure the win.
Meanwhile, Fairfax’s Marianna Pirmatova claimed the Class 6 singles title with a commanding 6-1, 6-0 win, while Langley’s Zosia and Arakai Henryson-Gibbs emerged victorious in the doubles finals after a hard-fought battle.
The Broad Run girls continued their dominance in Class 4, with Lexi and Izzy Rotaru clinching a doubles win before Lexi staged a thrilling comeback in the singles finals.
