Kendal Brunn Named Outstanding Business Student of the Year
SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Business Department is pleased to announce that Kendal Brunn has been awarded the title of Outstanding Business Student of the Year. Brunn has been recognized for her exceptional dedication to the Business Department and her outstanding academic achievements throughout her high school career.
Currently enrolled in Advanced Accounting during her senior year, Brunn has demonstrated a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. In addition to her rigorous coursework, she has also completed five college credit-bearing courses through Jamestown Community College Connections, including English, Public Speaking, Personal Finance, Tourism and Hospitality, and Pre-Calculus.
Brunn’s involvement in extracurricular activities further highlights her leadership skills and passion for business. She is an active member of Key Club and Business Club, where she plays a vital role in the Accounting Department of the Knight’s Korner Store on campus. Additionally, she has dedicated over 20 hours to community service in Silver Creek.
In recognition of her academic success, Brunn was inducted into the New York State Business and Marketing Honor Society in the spring of 2024. She has also been elected as Secretary of her senior class and works part-time at Sullivan’s Charbroil in Fredonia.
Brunn’s achievements have not gone unnoticed, as she was recently honored with a plaque on the Outstanding Business Students Wall of Fame. She will receive her scholarship and award at the SCCS Class Night event on Friday, June 14.
Looking ahead, Brunn plans to pursue a major in business at Jamestown Community College in the fall. Her dedication, leadership, and academic excellence make her a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.
