Samsung’s semiconductor manufacturing hub in Texas has reached a new milestone with the inauguration of a highway named after the tech giant. Governor Greg Abbott of Williamson County led the ribbon-cutting ceremony this week to commemorate the occasion.

The highway, funded by Samsung, serves as a gateway to the company’s multi-billion-dollar chip factory in Taylor, Texas. With over $40 billion invested in the state, Samsung has solidified its position as a key player in Texas’ economic landscape.

Governor Abbott expressed his enthusiasm for Samsung’s continued investment in Texas, stating, “With more than $40 billion invested in Texas and the creation of thousands of jobs, Samsung is the leading company in the future success of our great state.”

In addition to the highway inauguration, Samsung is rumored to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. The event, expected to take place in Paris, may see the launch of the next-generation foldable phones, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. The much-anticipated Galaxy Ring and the next-generation Galaxy Watch Series 7 are also rumored to make an appearance at the event.

Overall, Samsung’s commitment to Texas through significant investments and infrastructure development highlights the company’s dedication to innovation and growth in the region. The inauguration of the Samsung Highway marks a significant milestone in the tech giant’s presence in the Lone Star State.
