Aadhar Housing Finance IPO makes a quiet debut on NSE, opens at ₹315, matching IPO price

Aadhar Housing Finance IPO made a muted debut on the stock exchanges today, listing at ₹315 on NSE and ₹314.30 on BSE, the same as its issue price. The ₹3,000 crore IPO was open for subscription from May 8 to May 10, with a price band of ₹300-315. The IPO raised ₹898 crore from anchor investors on May 7.

The IPO saw strong subscriptions across all categories, with an overall subscription of 26.76 times. Investors bid for 178.65 crore shares against 6.67 crore on offer. The QIB portion was subscribed 76.42 times, NII category 17.33 times, employee part 6.88 times, and retail portion 2.58 times.

The IPO consisted of a fresh issue of 3.17 crore shares and an offer for sale of 6.35 crore shares by promoter BCP Topco VII Pte Ltd. The net proceeds will be used for future capital requirements and general corporate operations.

Aadhar Housing Finance caters to the lower-income sector and has a wide range of mortgage financing options. Experts advised subscribing to the IPO, citing its fair pricing compared to peers. Brokerage house Marwadi Shares and Finance assigned a “Subscribe” rating, highlighting the company’s strong business model and reasonable valuation.

Other brokerages like Aditya Birla Ltd, Ashika Research, Canara Bank Securities, Nirmal Bang, and SMIFS also recommended subscribing to the IPO. The stock performance can be tracked in real-time through the embedded stock chart.
