Abdullah bin Zayed joins Blinken in Riyadh for six-party Arab Ministerial meeting – World

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently participated in a crucial six-party Arab Ministerial meeting alongside US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken. The meeting, held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh, brought together key leaders from the Middle East region to discuss pressing issues and strategies for peace and stability.

In addition to Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Secretary Blinken, the meeting included His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia; Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar; Ayman Al Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of Jordan; Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt; and Hussein Al-Sheikh, Palestinian Minister of Civil Affairs.

The focus of the meeting was on the evolving situation in the Middle East region, with particular attention to the Gaza Strip. Discussions centered around the humanitarian and security implications in Gaza, efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire, and strategies to uphold regional and international peace and security.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed highlighted the challenges facing the Middle East and stressed the importance of increased collaboration among regional and international partners to bolster the comprehensive peace process based on the two-state solution. He emphasized the need for a sustainable ceasefire, the prevention of conflict escalation, and the importance of countering extremism and violence while safeguarding civilian lives.

The UAE’s commitment to advancing regional and global peace and stability was reiterated by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed. He also emphasized the UAE’s dedication to fostering cooperative relationships with nations worldwide to promote development and prosperity for all.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President; Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs; and Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
