‘Abi Carter Wins ‘American Idol’ 2024′

Abi Carter, a 21-year-old native of Indio, CA, has emerged victorious as the winner of the 2024 edition of American Idol. The talented singer clinched the title during Sunday night’s three-hour finale, beating out Jack Blocker from Dallas, TX, and Will Moseley from Hazelhurst, GA.

Carter’s impressive performances throughout the competition, including renditions of “Bed of Roses” by Jon Bon Jovi, “Somewhere” from “West Side Story,” and an original song titled “This Isn’t Over,” captured the hearts of viewers across America.

The season 22 finale featured guest mentor Jon Bon Jovi and special performances from a star-studded lineup including Nick Fradiani, New Kids On The Block, Jason Mraz, Hootie And The Blowfish, Cece Winans, James Bay, Wynonna Judd, Seal, Bishop Briggs, and Cody Johnson.

Speaking to Billboard after making it to the top 10, Carter expressed her passion for music, stating, “I want to be an artist. I’ve never felt so passionately about something.” She also revealed her initial career plans in psychology, highlighting her desire to help others express their emotions.

As Carter celebrates her well-deserved victory, another chapter closes as U.S. pop superstar Katy Perry bids farewell to her role as a judge on American Idol.
