According to U.S. News & World Report, this is how Staten Island’s public high schools are ranked

Staten Island, N.Y. – The U.S. News and World Report has just released its highly anticipated ranking of the top high schools across the United States in 2024, including state, city, and local rankings. With nearly 18,000 eligible public high schools evaluated at the national, state, and local levels, the rankings provide valuable insight into the educational landscape.

According to U.S. News, the highest-ranked schools in the country are those where students excel on state tests, participate in and pass college-level exams, and graduate in high proportions. In Staten Island, the rankings for public high schools range from highest to lowest, showcasing the educational achievements of each institution.

Leading the pack is Staten Island Technical High School in New Dorp, with a New York state ranking of 5 and a national ranking of 50, boasting a graduation rate of 100%. Following closely behind is CSI High School for International Studies in New Springville, with a New York state ranking of 112 and a national ranking of 1,126, and a graduation rate of 98%.

Other notable schools include New Dorp High School, Michael J. Petrides High School, Susan E. Wagner High School, Gaynor McCown Expeditionary Learning School, Tottenville High School, Curtis High School, Concord High School, Eagle Academy for Young Men of Staten Island, Port Richmond High School, and Ralph R. McKee Career and Technical High School.
