Three people were injured in an apparent stabbing at a school in northern England on Wednesday, with a 17-year-old boy being arrested in connection with the incident. The attack took place at Birley Community College in Sheffield, where South Yorkshire Police responded to reports of an incident involving a sharp object at around 8:50 am local time.

Paramedics treated two adults with minor injuries at the scene, while another child was also checked over after being assaulted. This incident comes just a day after a similar stabbing occurred in London, where a 13-year-old boy was killed and four others were injured by a man wielding a sword.

In the London incident, the attacker, a 36-year-old man, was held by police at the scene. Video footage and photographs shared on social media showed the man with a Samurai-like sword, but authorities stated that the incident was not terror-related.

Prior to these incidents, a 13-year-old girl in Wales made her first court appearance on three counts of attempted murder after stabbing two teachers and a pupil at a secondary school in Ammanford. The attack at Amman Valley School occurred just after 11:00 am last Wednesday.

With multiple stabbing incidents occurring in the UK in a short span of time, authorities are on high alert and investigating the motives behind these violent attacks.
