Adobe has introduced a new AI-powered assistant called Acrobat AI, designed to help users summarize and search through lengthy documents. The Acrobat AI is available on desktop, web, and mobile versions of the app, and can be accessed through a subscription starting at $4.99 per month.
The generative AI-powered assistant is deeply integrated into Reader and Acrobat workflows, allowing users to gain insights, format, and share content from various digital documents quickly and easily. It is compatible with other document formats such as Word and PowerPoint, and can even assist in transcribing meetings.
Acrobat AI offers features like recommending questions and answers based on the content of a PDF, providing a quick understanding of the document in an easy-to-read format, and generating citations through a custom attribution engine. Additionally, it includes clickable links within documents to help users quickly locate information.
Adobe assures users that no content from their documents is stored on their servers or used to further train the AI tool. The mobile version of Acrobat AI, launched in beta earlier this year, allows users to summarize and ask questions about documents using voice commands. For web users, the AI assistant is available as an extension on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
While the add-on subscription for Acrobat AI starts at $4.99 per month, Adobe is offering early access pricing until June 5, which roughly translates to Rs 420. However, the AI assistant can currently be used for free for a limited time from the Reader mobile app.
