AICWA Urges Bollywood Celebrities to Encourage Voting, Asks Production Houses to Reschedule Shoots on Election Day

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has called upon Bollywood celebrities to motivate the public to vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. With the fifth phase of elections scheduled for May 20, the association is urging stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Aamir Khan to encourage their fans to cast their votes.

In a statement released on their official handle, AICWA emphasized the importance of this election in shaping the future of the nation. They highlighted the significant impact that celebrities can have in motivating people to participate in the democratic process.

Furthermore, AICWA has also requested channels, producers, and production houses in Bollywood to consider postponing shooting on May 20 to allow workers and artists the opportunity to exercise their voting rights. They pointed out the challenges faced by individuals in the industry due to tight schedules and pre-planned shooting commitments.

Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have already taken to social media to encourage people to vote. With 49 constituencies across eight states going to the polls in the fifth phase, the importance of voter turnout cannot be understated.

As the general elections unfold across seven phases, the outcome will determine the future leadership of the country. With the counting of votes scheduled for June 4, all eyes are on the political landscape as the nation heads to the polls.
