Air India has launched a revamped customer reward programme, Flying Returns, in its first overhaul in over a decade. The new loyalty programme moves away from the traditional miles-based collection of points to a more equitable spend-based approach, offering enhanced rewards and benefits to its customers.
With the new structure in place, members of the programme can now enjoy benefits and collect points based on the revamped system. Some key features of the updated programme include no expiry of points for active members, no blackout dates, same tier privileges, and the ability to collect and redeem points across Star Alliance partner airlines worldwide.
In addition, Air India has introduced a new customer-friendly digital interface that serves as a one-stop platform for all transactions related to the loyalty programme. This interface aims to provide a seamless and convenient experience for members to manage their rewards and benefits effectively.
The airline did not disclose the exact number of existing members who will be transitioning to the new programme. However, the revamped Flying Returns programme is expected to bring a fresh and improved experience for Air India’s loyal customers, offering them more value and flexibility in earning and redeeming rewards.
