Indian cinema is set to shine at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival as the 77th edition kicks off today. Among the many films and filmmakers representing the country, the makers of Ajay Devgn and Tabu-starrer “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha” will offer a sneak peek into the film at the festival on May 17.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha” promises to take audiences on a rollercoaster ride, tracing the journey of love over 23 years from 2000 to 2023. The film explores the complexities of mature love, enduring companionship, and unwavering devotion. Originally slated for an April release, the romantic drama is now set to hit cinemas on July 5 and also features Jimmy Shergill, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari.
Producer Shreyans Hirawat of NH Studioz expressed excitement about sharing a glimpse of the film exclusively at the Bharat Pavilion for Cannes delegates. This marks the first time India is hosting a ‘Bharat Parv’ at Cannes, showcasing the country’s creative opportunities to the world.
The Indian delegation at Cannes will also unveil the official poster and trailer of the 55th India International Film Festival, scheduled to be held in Goa from November 20 to 28. The Bharat Pavilion, located at 108 Village International Riviera, will serve as a platform for Indian film industry professionals to engage in various activities during the festival.
