Lexus GB men’s team secured their fourth BNP Paribas World Team Cup title since 2015 with a thrilling 2-0 victory over Spain in Turkey. Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid were the heroes of the day, winning both singles matches to claim the title.

Reid, ranked World No 5, defeated Daniel Caverzaschi 6-3, 6-4 in a hard-fought battle, while Hewett, ranked World No 1, staged a remarkable comeback to beat Martin de la Puente 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. This victory marked their second World Team Cup title together, with their first win coming in 2015 against France.

Hewett, who was part of the junior team that won the title in 2013, expressed his delight at the team’s success, emphasizing the importance of playing for their country. The team’s success was also attributed to the contributions of Ben Bartram and Dahnon Ward, who secured singles wins earlier in the week.

The victory was a successful defense of their title from the previous year, solidifying their dominance in wheelchair tennis. The women’s team also had a strong showing, finishing in fifth place after defeating Colombia 2-1.

As the team looks ahead to the French Open at Roland Garros, fans can catch all the action on Sky Sports Tennis, with coverage of major tournaments leading up to the Grand Slam event.
