Altoona Boys Volleyball Dominates Chambersburg in Sweeping Victory
In a thrilling match at the AAHS Fieldhouse, the Altoona boys volleyball team showcased their dominance by sweeping Chambersburg with scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-17. The Mountain Lions put on a stellar performance, led by Caleb Fries with 13 kills, two blocks, and five digs. Sam Kessinger also stood out with 35 assists, five digs, four aces, one kill, and one block.
Nino Yohn made significant contributions with eight digs and an ace, helping Altoona improve their record to 3-1. The team’s service points were distributed among key players, with Kessinger leading with 14 points.
In other boys volleyball action, Forest Hills defeated Central in a competitive match, while Bishop Guilfoyle fell to DuBois despite a strong effort from Noah Kelleher. The Blue Pirates track and field team had a mixed day, with a win over Fannett-Metal but a loss to Southern Fulton.
