Former teen star Amanda Bynes has opened up about her health and wellness journey, sharing her struggles with depression and weight gain on social media. At 37, Amanda revealed on her Instagram Stories that she had gained over 20lbs in the past few months due to her battle with depression. However, she emphasized her determination to achieve a healthier state of being by taking action, even when she doesn’t feel like working out or eating clean.

Standing at five-foot-seven, Amanda has faced challenges with body image in the past, including turning to the prescription drug Adderall for weight management. In a 2015 interview, she admitted to abusing Adderall and shared her experience of being influenced by media portrayals of the drug as a weight loss solution.

Despite reports that she was approached to participate in a documentary about the dark side of children’s television in the ’90s, Amanda declined, feeling she didn’t have meaningful insights to offer. However, her impact on Nickelodeon and teen romantic comedies remains significant.

Amanda’s journey has been marked by personal challenges, including a nine-year conservatorship initiated by her parents in 2013 out of concern for her well-being. By 2022, the conservatorship had concluded, marking a new chapter in Amanda’s life.

Through her transparency and resilience, Amanda continues to inspire others on her path to health and happiness.
