American AAdvantage and Bilt Rewards Transfer Partnership Ending June 24
American Airlines’ AAdvantage program and Bilt Rewards have announced the end of their transfer partnership, effective June 24. This news comes as a blow to loyal members who have been benefiting from the ability to transfer Bilt points to AAdvantage since 2021.
The decision to terminate the partnership was confirmed by a Bilt Rewards spokesperson, who expressed gratitude for the collaboration between the two companies. This move will leave Marriott Bonvoy points as the only remaining transferable currency to convert into American miles, following the discontinuation of the ability to transfer Citi ThankYou points to AAdvantage in late 2021.
The termination of this partnership will have a significant impact on Bilt Rewards members who have been accumulating Bilt points and transferring them to AAdvantage. While Bilt Rewards has other Oneworld loyalty programs as transfer partners, such as Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, British Airways Executive Plus, and Iberia Plus, the redemption options may not be as lucrative as those offered by AAdvantage.
Transfer partnerships are subject to change, and while the end of the AAdvantage and Bilt Rewards partnership is disappointing, there are still other valuable transfer partners available. For those looking to earn more American miles, options like premium-cabin partner flights, the AAdvantage eShopping portal, and Bask Bank remain viable alternatives.
As the official end date of the partnership approaches, members are advised to make any necessary transfers before June 24 to take advantage of the current benefits. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
