Andy Murray could potentially face world No 1 Novak Djokovic in the second round of the Geneva Open this week if he manages to defeat German Yannick Hanfmann on Monday. Djokovic, who suffered a surprising loss to Chilean Alejandro Tabilo at the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome last week, is looking to bounce back in Geneva, where he is participating for the first time.

If Murray and Djokovic do meet, it will mark their 37th encounter, with Djokovic currently leading their head-to-head record 25-11. Djokovic is the favorite to win the tournament and claim his 99th tour-level title, with two-time champion Casper Ruud also in the mix. Other notable players in the competition include third seed Taylor Fritz and fourth seed Ben Shelton.
